Pros = Increases Compression.
Amount depends on your motor.
Take out the middle layer of the head gasket

I used the middle layer.....and have had no problems (about 1k miles later). Just make sure you install it right....otherwise youll have a mess. Good luck

it will change your timing. I can't imaging anything else will be affected. But I suppose that layer is there for a reason.

Reliability, no problems. I ran the Spoon 2 layer for over a year, then I built a new engine. Never had a problem with it.
I have heard of removing the middle layer, but I have not tried this myself. Figured I would leave it up to someone else to do, and rivet it so it would not come apart on instalation....

the closest to stock as you can get will always be your most reliable option, the question you ask yourself is "if my wallet isnt big enough to do it right, then is my wallet big enough to fix it when it blows up?"

if you do go 1 layer.. make sure you copper spray the whole thing to help it seal better.
