Default IS HEADER IMPORTANT?

My car c't go beyond 170BHP whatever cams i've put in, Int R produced 169bhp and Toda B's produced 164bhp. My tuner think the stock header and intake mainfold restrict the air flow. It this true??
My car is EF9 running 1st gen B16, Thanks!!

yes that is true with toda b's they suggest atleast a jdm 4-1 header. basiclly theu want you to have a header with a .25inch collector instead of the 2 and a 1/4 in america.

Yes, it's true. The header is just as important as the intake & exhaust. Get an aftermarket header &, (as long as everything is done right), you should see more out of the Toda B's.

basiclly if you are oprning up your exhaust valves for that long you will need a larger(diameter) set of pipes for all the extra gases to escape.

Should i get header first or bigger intake mainfold 1st?(Has HKS filter & Tanabe Ex already).
Can i put the Int R intake mainfold direct on 1st B16?
Why the Toda'B produced less Bhp over Int R cams?
Sorry for so much questions.
Many thanks!!!

If you have the money.. get SMS or hytech. There as good if not better then Spoon, Mugen. You really cant go wrong with any 4 of these. If their out of your budget... then the Apex'i is good too.
