Default header fitment

On my 95 gsr I bought a dc 4-1 header it from a type r thought and I was not thinking when buying that the deck height would be different. I got it to fit but there is maybe half of an inch of space between the oil pan and header. Would it be safe to use it still or would it get theoil to hot? and would heat wrapping it help?

heat wrap the header or use thermal tap for the pan

heat wrap takes along time to wrap a header, but definitly better because it moves the exhaust faster out the header because it keeps the heat in. thermal tape is just one sided thermal compound you stick to the pan like tape
