Default Head Stud QUESTION, help me out please

whats going on, tried to search, its a pain in the *** and im still figureing it out. i

have some head studs i would like to know if they will fit my B18C1. the reason i

ask is because ive seen some APR studs and both ends are threaded and these

onlt have one threaded end. noob question i know but if anyone has any info on

this id love to hear it thanks...

those are basically stock replacements. they are not studs, rather headbolts.

i would only use them once, whereas studs are reusable in most cases.

and i believe b16 and gsr are the same if i remember right.

Those won't work in a B18. They're too short.

And head "bolts" are usually torque yield (cheap metal) so they aren't reuseable. Most head "studs" however are made for high performance applications (quality metal) so they are reuseable.

Bottom line is that you need to sell those and buy some studs for a B18.

im just not sure about c1's...

Well all B18 bolts/studs are longer than B16 bolts/studs. So maybe they *can* work, but they won't be threading down into the block as far as they should be for maximum strength.

type r heads are the same cast as b16, so you are incorrect.

BLOCK. I said BLOCK. It doesn't matter that the heads have the same deck height.
