I bought a new temp sender... took the old out threaded the new in.. put a wrench on it and noticed it was a little tight. took it out and saw that its now stripped where it threads in.. The old won't thread in anymore and now the car sits waiting for a tow. Amazing! How much should this cost me?

 

your will need to helicoil it. You can get this from your local autoparts store. You will need to make sure none of the shavings get into your coolant passages though. I have found some grease on the tap holds the shavings to it instead of letting them into the motor.
