Head problem!
Hello first my english is not so good so I will try my best to explain my problem..
This problem happens to someone?
On a SIR head when I put all the cam holder on the cam and I follow all the torque procedure until 5e from the timing belt its all good ,the intake cam turn and exaust too but if I torque the first intake cam holder from the timing belt it doesn't turn anymore but the exaust cam continu to turn.
I tried an other set of cam I had and it's the same thing.A cam holder can be too tight? There is something to do with that?
If anyone have an idea your welcome!!
thx

are they new to this engine/are you sure they are meant for this engine, kind of poking in the dark here lol. im not familiar enough with b series to know what it could be. sorry, atleast the thread is at the top now.
make sure the cam timing marks are pointed up along with the engine at cylinder one TDC. you could have a cam lobe pushing down on a valve onto a piston.
also take a close look that the cam caps are in the correct location and the arrows are pointed in the right direction.
and finally check all the journals where the camshaft sits in the head. sometimes if you "accidentally" scratch/mark up the edges of the journals even just a small amount it will cause the camshaft to not spin.

I heard about something recently.. is that if the cam holder are not from the head from factory it can be too tight because is not the exact same spec ?? It can be true?
and for the option of the warped head.. my exaust cam turn when i tight the cam holder on it so I think it can't be an option but I,m not an expert!lol

I have an other idea...the torque wrench I used to put the head on was like 10lbs/ft more than normal ..I torqued the head in 3 step 27,48,65 in the right order but i think I torqued it like 75lbs/ft ..can it warped my head? but in the case of a warped head I think any cam turn but in my case it's only the intake cam taht does not turn so ..
anyone any other idea??
