Default Head Gasket

Hello!

I have a 1996 Civic EX with a ZC swap and a Z6 head. I am planning on replacing the head, but I am unsure which head gasket to buy. I would prefer to buy a copper or Cometic head gasket. I am also planning on installing ARP head studs in place of OEM ones. Since the ZC is essentially the Japanese version of a D16, do I need a head gasket and studs for a D16Z6? I am mechanically inclined, but not too savvy on the engine codes, so any help/advice will be greatly appreciated.

use a factory Y8 head gasket. No point in spending more money for an inferior gasket.

If you use studs get a kit for whatever head yor using.

So, just out of curiosity, is there no difference in a head gasket for a Y8 or a Z6? Also, what are the benefits (if any) of using a Cometic head gasket over a standard one, such as FelPro?

Sorry if I'm asking rookie questions, I'm just not all too familiar with Hondas yet. I just know how to do repairs lol.

Yea, the price. The Z6 cost double what the Y8 does.

Yeah, I gathered that after pricing them both out. For some reason, a poorly made, flimsy graphite gasket is more expensive than an MLS gasket.

Anyway, I ordered a Y8 gasket and it arrived via FedEx, bent in friggin' half.....
