Default head gasket?

My friends and I are going to be replacing my piston rings.. since they're fried......... were gonna be taking the head off to do this.. Do I need a new head gasket? or can i just reuse the old? i have a 2000 civic si. btw

HG is like the drain plug washer...you only get to use it once. Some people reuse them, but it's generally considered to be a bad idea. It's cheap insurance to get a new one.

if it is an oem honda hg you have a chance...but why take a chance ot re-using it.
i recomend any metal hg...the paper ones suck. NAPA/HONDA

oem hondas are suppose to last for lifetime unless overheated or blown...but i always change it everytime my head's come off

most people say dont reuse them, but i have reused them with success, i just load up on copper spray. But i am also a cheap bastard too
