Default head compatability

hi, i drive a 96 jdm integra si-vtec and am wondering if a complete integra type r head inc inlet and tb would make any gains on my engine. my integra has the original b18c in it and the head uses the same dual runner design as the us gsr.

i have seen someone run a b18c block with built internals and a type r head with built internals and raise their compression like crazy and run 10's sometimes even 9's :take it to a shop tell them what your trying to do and they will hook ya up!

pretty nuts considering naturally aspirated 4 banger

if nothing is wrong with the vtec head you got then save the money from getting a type r head and get valvetrain... vavles, spring, retainers, cams ect. look other places to find power... changing the heads will do little to nothing for you...
