need the head bolt torque specs for a b16a. i am aware you are supposed to torque the bolts in *stages*, so please list all applicable specs. thanks in advance!

 

The first torque stage is to 22ft-lbs. Then 61ft-lbs.

Sequence:

distributor side intake 9 5 1 3 7 timing belt side intake
distributor side exh. 8 4 2 6 10 timing belt side exh.

Sorry for the ghetto diagram, but hopefully it helps somewhat. 1, being the first head bolt to tighten in the sequence and 10 the last. This is via the Helms.

 

This sounds like over kill but I do the torque sequence 3 times. Tighten, loosen, tighten....you get my drift. At the third time the torque readings become nice and consistent. Sounds like a pain in the butt , but it is also relaxing...Just turn and click.

This produced nice results for me.

i know summit racing sells the b16/b18c head bolt package for 118 + shipping. if anyone know anything better than that, please post it!
