Default Having trouble disengaging the clutch.

I have a weird problem that has been going on for the past 6 months or so. 96 accord, 98 h22a, action clutch I got from here about 4-5 years ago I would say. Over the past 6 months I have noticed that it becomes increasingly difficult to shift through the gears particularly when I am stopped and go into 1st or going from 1st to 2nd. It would get to the point where I had to force the car into 1st. I also noticed that i had problems stepping on the clutch and going into neutral. It felt like stepping on the clutch didnt let go of the flywheel. Once or twice I couldnt even get the clutch to let go and I would stall the car.

The solution would be to change the pedal distance so that I can step on the clutch more and it would fix the problem. I could shift easily and wouldnt have problems getting into/out of gears. However, slowly it would happen again and I would have to move the pedal back more. I am at the point where it is happening again and there is no more thread for the pedal to go back anymore.

What is the cause of this and what can I do. If it isnt fixed I essentially cant shift into gears and when I am in a gear i cant get out and the car will stall when i slow down unless I rip it out of gear

thanks.

Have you adjusted the clutch master pushrod? If not, that is the first place you should start.

Is the clutch master low on fluid? Does the clutch engage low to the floor? What happens when you pump the clutch pedal? Does the engagement point move up? If it does then you have a hydraulic problem. If it's not a hydraulic problem then the clutch needs to come out as you probably broke a clutch disc spring of the friction material has delaminated.

Guess on leaks from master or sub cylinders repair kits are available for these.

No its not low on fluid, yes it engages close to the floor. When I pump the pedal nothing changes.

I guess I need a new clutch. damn, I figured it would be that. My flywheel is a fidanza I placed awhile ago as well, should that be switched out at the same time? I'm done fixing my car btw--have been done for awhile, now all I want is a working car...haha

I remember when changing my clutch last time I was able to get the housing off and change the flywheel and clutch but my friend and I had a hell of a time trying to get the housing back on so I ended up having to pull out my engine. Dont want to do that this time.
