Default HAVE A SHORT. . . need help to find the problem

I have a 95 civic Ex coupe, just recently i installed the factory foglights. Well heres the problem whenever i turn them on, the power wire going from the harness to the switch gets really hott. And the light on the switch turns on and off frequently, and also the HVAC control lights are only halfway illuminated. My friend said there is a short somewhere, and i cant find it. Can anyone help me out here. . Thanks

so- im guessing that you wired them up with ~18 ga wire to a ghetto autozone switch, right?? you need to use ~14 ga wire, and run them from a high-amp relay straight to the battery or high-amp 12v source.

no prob, 1 more thing, you might want to put in a bigger fuse for those lights, since you are pulling more current now.
