Default To have the head milled or not?

I recently bought a D16Y7 head used, guy said it had 55,000mi on it, not sure how much of that is true but it looked pretty clean from what I saw. I'm looking around for a Y7 block to bolt it up to and was wondering if it would be worth getting the head milling or at least checked for warpage seeing as it's going onto a block that it was not specifically made for. Or am I just being paranoid and I need to shut up and bolt the head on?

Head should be resurfaced or at least check by a professional machine shop.
Don't skip out in a new oem gasket either.

I'd forget about the mill if you wanna raise compression do it the right way and swap pistons.

Whitey , yes this is a procedure you will want to do . At the very minimum straight edge it and visually inspect for any moderately deep scratches. When you bring up the word milling most people are under the impression that you are reffering to taking a large amount off the deck to raise compression. Although heads are often resurfaced on a MILL it has become a taboo word over the years lol.
