I bought a cheap cat back and some of the pipe is rusting. I am going to get some custom weld work dont and was wondering if a steped exhaust would help scavenging? Thi pipe is 2.25 and the resonator is 2.5,. so I could cut the pipe in the resonator and go to 2.5 the rest of the way out. dont want the car to be too loud. Any Ideas?

 

nope, keep the pipe as constant as possible and I would try to stick with 2.25 if you are going to stay N/A....wouldn't even think about goina any bigger. I personally would only go with a 2"
