alright guys. Almost a year ago I was driving home from work and my harmonic balancer broke. I had to to easy out the rest of the bolt and find a used one online. I bought a new balancer as well. Got it going and drive it to work. I work about 3 hours round trip. Drove just fine. My wife and I decided to go out for a quick dinner and the balancer started wobbling like crazy!! I thought I blew the motor up. But I hear no knocking. What could be wrong? I've asked many mechanically inclined friends tell me it could be bearings busted, but nothing in the oil. What could be my issue?

 

The actual harmonic balancer on the bolt is rocking or the outside of the harmonic balancer?

 

if only the outer part is wobbling, the rubber in the pulley is broken. if the inner part is wobbling, you may have crank damage or the bolt came loose

 

The whole balancer just wobbles like it's off kilter

 

Maybe the crank snout where the balancer bolts to is bent.
