I'm replacing the head on my h23 and when i pulled it off I cracked a sensor on the backside of the block. The sensor is approx in the middle of the 2 and 3 pistons real close to the top of the block is this knock sensor or what? and where can I get and how much do they cost? Thanks for all your input

i believe you broke your knock sensor, is it throwing a code?

How many wires go to it?

 

I will have to double check but I think two wires. I have not put the car back together as of yet because I know I need to replace this guy first...

If it has 2 wires, it's the knock sensor. The new one should be torqued to 23 lb/ft.

 

is this a dealer only item?
