h22a manifold problem severe.
My h22a has a akward idle. It goes from 3 rpm to 5 rpm and continually goes up and down and never goes to 1 rpm. It all happenned after I attempted to install a skunk2 manifold, however it did not fit so I had to install the original manifold again. (EG hatchback) Except as soon as I was finished installing the original manifold, the idle was like that. When before it was just normal. Like any other normal car. It idled at 1 rpm and stayed put nicely. I used gasket maker and my friends told me that I either have a vacumm leak or I need a new gasket. I made a excellent job with the gasket maker and installing the manifold like it was before, however this is preventing me from finishing my problem. Also when I attempted to drive it, the car kept bogging in and out, also when I slightly stepped on the gas it felt like I was flooring it, and the car would take off fast and bogg out continually, so I decided to garage it until I get a idea of what is wrong with my h22.
I need your help so please please guide me into what I should re-look or do. Any help would be greatly appreaciatted.

I would stay you got a leak somewhere or a better gasket. Why wouldnt the skunk2 mani fit? You have a EG h22 hatch right?? I have the same but mine fit...course the motor was out when it was put it on though.....

well my motor was already in, we attempted to install it, but it's such a tight fit that the back of the manifold touches the brake lines on the firewall. We also attempted to beat the **** out of the firewall to push back some more clearance, but in order to avoid damage to my car I rejected that option, plus the EGR is mounted in the back of the manifold, wich makes it a even bigger pain to squeeze all that into a already stuffed engine bay.

you need to take the motor out if you want it to fit easy....and you still have your EGR? I took that **** out...we dont have emissions here plus it wasnt doing anything for me.....all in all...you need to pull the motor out to put the manifold on there....
If its acting up now...Id just take the motor out and put the SK2 manifold on there and make sure everythings bolted up and on....its really not hard. I can have my motor out in 20 mins....
