Just swapped in my h22a into my cb7, but the iab vacuum box under the intake is of course missing. do i need this? i've heard some people totally eliminated the butterfly section of the intake controlled by the iab box, and some rigged it up to work off vacuum from the intake manny itself, totally eliminating this pesky little black box. what should i do? its gonna be a DD and its not seriously built, just some bolt ons but i hope to have this done tonight and this is all that is holding me up so i def need some good advice!!! thanks to anyone who tries to help!!

ok on the back of the manifold there is a vacuum line coming off going to a solenoid which is supposed to go from there to the iab box. should i just block off the line that runs out of the solenoid? also i see this mushroom looking diaphram on top of the manifold with a nipple coming off facing the right side of the motor (tranny side) which is about two inches away from another port off of the manny, should i just run a vacuum line from the diaphram to that port on the manny too, and block off the port on the lower left side of the manifold and call it a day? i know that must sound a little confusing but if you've ever had to mess with this **** i would think you would know what im talkin about. THANKS!!!
well what are u actually trying to do? hook them up? or disable them?
if u want to get rid of them, then u can get rid of the whole mid section, or take them out of the mid section somehow.
all they do is provide some low to mid range tq. i dont have any dynos for u, but if its not a serious build, then that probably dont matter to u.
i know there is a way to hook them up via vacuum, but im not positive on how its done.

well what i ended up doing was pullin apart the intake and saw that its just that diaphram on the pass. side of the intake that operates those butterflies so i just blocked off the back port where the solenoid came off ultimately eliminating that and ran a vacuum line from the diaphram operating the butterflies to a port coming off the front of the intake. if it will work off vacum then i assume that will work. **** that plastic box **** lol
