Does the H22 Knock sensor thread into a coolant channel on the block?

 

Yup. In the back under the Intake manifold by the oil pressure sensor and oil filter.

 

Not really looking for location just wanted to verify it was open to a coolant channel so when I change it i'll drain the coolant. looking a helms it looked like it was just wasn't sure, under the car I couldn't really tell.

yeah thaqt would suck to get a face full of coolant when you are under there

I've been told by a pretty reputable person that the KS does not open into a coolant channel on the H22.
