I heard about someone getting a h22 vtec head and putting it on a h23. I either need to get a rebuilt head or was wondering about this?

 

it will work, u need a H22 head and need some mod to ur H23 block. There are quite a few potential problems. Quite a few ppl had done this mod, some had successful experience and many encounters major problems afterward. I would say a turbo the stock H23 with low boost maybe more effective, esp the hp gain per $ spend.

 

As mentioned above, it's been done with mixed levels of success. There are a few write-ups here on Honda-Tech that I suggest you read before diving into this or any other project.
