i got an h22 swap in my civic. i would like to know the year of the motor. my engine code is 3044857 and my head is stamped with the year "97". this does not make sense. the way you read the engine code to find out the year of production is that the first number represents the number of years since that motor was first made right? h22a's first started in 92 right? which would mean that my motor is a 94, according to the engine code.(92=1, 93=2,94=3). it doesnt make sense that my head would be stamped as a 97, unless the block and the head are from different years. someone help!!!
