So I recently bought a 2000 prelude, and the guy ran through a huge puddle and sucked in some water. There's no water/oil mixed, I pulled the plugs and it was dry, and I'm definitely getting fuel. I checked the plugs for spark and nothing all the way accross. Then opened the dizzy up and everything looks dry, and in good condition. What's the next plan of action looking for spark?

 

Do a compression test and make sure all cylinders are sound. If yes, then test the ignition coil.

 

So no spark?
Check coil and ICM, [igniter] also check connections to coil and ICM.

Question, does tach move at all when trying to start engine?
If not, the ICM is the problem.94

 

So I found spark today, and compression check was 90/90/40/60. It's a goner lol

 

Was the compression test on a hot or cold engine and was it a dry or wet test? 94
