For a turbo car, I honestly wouldn't bother w/ removing them.

They have been dyno'd to give about 3-4 HP throughout the RPM range, but supposedly they make it rev quicker b/c of the reduced rotating mass.

It will make the car vibrate a bit more; if you're turbo, you should just up the boost a pound to compensate. In an n/a car, every HP counts.

i have a h22 stroked to a 2.4L.not that that matters?but i do not run the balance shafts and i am turboed.all they do is keep grandma's *** from shaking at a red light.i my self blocked off the oil passeges leading to the balance shafts and took them completely out."not that you have to".

h22 stroked to a 2.4L w/ xs t67 bb w/ pro race fogger system.

I don't really think there are any long-term side effects to your motor, and I have never heard of a snapped H22 crank from runnin no balancer shafts.

If you think that the extra shaking is worth the extra ~4 HP, then go ahead.

i made 10 hp on my last h22 i dynoed .now as far as being worth it? it depends on how hp hungery you are every little bit counts.on my set up now yes it is worth it.but i don't drive it everyday.but to some one that drove it every day? different strokes for different folks.but i do understand your point.
