I've got a 94 hatch w/ b18b1 swap and a Y80 tranny. I was out cruising, not beating on my car at all, and when I took it out of third gear slowly it was squeaking? I noticed that it was getting slightly more difficult to get it in and out of gear. I pulled into steak n shake and I was shifting through my gears slowly and first and third were squeaking, no other gear but first and third. After this happened I drove straight to Autozone only so the guy could make fun of my problem. I tried explaining to him what car the tranny came out of but he could not understand what I was trying to say and I told him the problem and he suggested putting motor oil in it???

I immediately left autozone after that. So my question is, if I change the fluid out with some new(and correct) fluid, would it take care of this problem?

I'll be changing my tranny fluid first thing in the morning..
