Well to start with i bought a YS1 cable tranny and found out when i put it in the the car that it is locked up. My question is it worth rebuilding or just to buy another one. If it's rebuildable where can i get the rebuild kit at.

depends, whats wrong with it and how much did you pay for it? ys1 are hard to come by

 

i paid 350 and bought it off a guy that said it was in working condition and i wont know whats messed up until i pull it out later this week.

 

Find out whats wrong first. IF it's just a fork or something simple thats easy fix. IF it is a broken differential thats pretty easy to fix too. Other than that, replace tranny.

Most people will probably buy that tranny from you even though its messed up for around $350 so they can fix their tranny. So you most likely will break even if you had to get rid of it and get another tranny.
