how can I make sure I am getting the tranny im looking for. How do i know it is a gs-r and not an LS. It says Y80 but I know that some Ls trannys are also Y80.How can I tell if im purchasing a GS-R not a LS. thanks

 

none except cracking it open and checking inside or installing it and driving it

 

get a carfax for it. Mine said s80 and BAM! GSR tranny.

 

My GSR tranny is a Y80 none LSD
an S80 is a LSD like in the type R.
