i recently bought a gsr tranny when i got home i opened it up to see the internals i tried to shift gears and it wouldnt the part the moves the forks wouldnt move them it looks really loose tho do i need to replace the part ?????

 

If you have not done this before, I suggest getting a Helm manual.

 

ya. if youve never messed wiht trannys dont just start crakin them open. its cheaper to take it some where to get it fixed than mess it up yourself.

 

ive worked on ls trannys before but none of them ever did this

 

Honda trannys don't like to shift when "opened" since the shifter fork shafts along with gearshafts are NOT supported by the outer casing.
