Gsr secondaries and smog

Gsr secondaries and smog
I am in the process on rebuilding a GSR motor i picked up and i looked inside of the intake manifold and its missing the secondary plates the rest of the setup is there. My question is if i plug into the IAB to it and leave it hooked up will it throw a code or effect emissions not having the plates there?
