GSR Rods on LS Block??

Default GSR Rods on LS Block??

I found a good deal on some JE pistons on GSR rods...I wanna know if they will fit in my LS block...anybody know for sure?

Only if you install a GSR crank, which will cause you to lose like 37cc.

The GSR and LS have the same diameter rod journal, so they WILL fit.. but you're gonna blow your motor up if you get even the SLIGHTEST bit of rod stretch.
My friend did this in his LS motor for the hell of it. GSR rods and B16 pistons in a LS motor. Ran for weeks and weeks. Ran hard as hell, too.
Then one night he was running hard and BOOM. I was behind him and I couldnt see his tail lights anymore. Black smoke, blue smoke, you name it.
We yanked the head and cylinder 2 wasn't there. No ****. I wish I had a camera. The cylinder was disintegrated. Oh, and cylinder 1 was at TDC and cylinder 4 was a BDC. Needless to say, the block was junked.

Lesson learned: use the proper rods for your application.

Damn...oh well...thanks for the info Bro...

I'll keep lookin...btw if anybody cares they were JE pistons for $150.
