GSR making funny noise please help out!!!!!
ok whenever my car is at idle i hear this little like wine/rattle and i dont know what the hell it is and if i slightly put my foot on the clutch pedal like barely on it, it goes away and when i take it off i hear it again and everytime i put my foot on the clutch like i said it just stops anyone know what this is im not sure
the car is running fine
the car is running fine
Its the throw out bearing....
Ussully that sound comes from reving the motor and being old....That will make the bearing go bad....its not a big thing but soon it will get worse....the only way to get rid of it is put a new one in...When you put a new one in make sure you put grease on the shaft and the bearing....
But some times that will not work....Because i had that noise too and when i changed out my clutch i put a new throw out bearing in and a few weeks later it came back..But thats because i was getting on it......
In other words dont worry about it...I know its annoying but just deal with it i guess..but its up to you...
Thanks
Ross

spray some white lithium grease through the split in the rubber boot that covers the throwout bearing, then work the clutch a few times. just be careful not to spray a ton of it in there, too much and it'll make its way to the clutch... which would be bad...
