i got a gsr diff, but i dont think it will fit in my ls case case of larger final drive. am i correct????

no the diff wont fit unless you get typer or gsr final drive

ok guys heres what i got -
a gsr tranny with a broken case so i took the gears out and put them in my ls tranny but i left the ls diff assembly with the final drive in the ls case.
on weds my ring gear lost a bunch of teeth and craked my good ls case. but it can be rewelded so all is not lost.
so i still have the gsr gears and the whole diff assembly. i wanna know if i can take it out and put it in my ls case if it fits.
here are some pics of the damage done.

with a gsr final and diff., yes but you'll have a little trouble putting the cases back together, it'll fit though

 

sweet - now what kinda of trouble should i expect??

well for some reason the cases wont want to snap together, but nothing muscles and some beer cant do.

 

aww cool. i had to drop the damn thing on the ground before it wanted to get back together last time. and beer muscles seem to be pretty strong so i think i'll be alright.
