My sisters GSR is burning oil. She just got home and said the oil light was flickering. Motor has 85k on it.

Anyway, it was 2-3 quarts low!!! Its been 4,000 miles since the oil was changed.

Compression test: 235,230,235,235.

Any ideas? Wouldn't I get low compression if the rings were bad?

I'm going to switch from 5w30 to 10w30 and see if it still burns oil.
