Ground on SAFC.
If the ground isn't hooked up, is there anyway that the SAFC would be able to power on?!? I'm a newb to electronics and just want to learn. Also, regarding the install, is it fine if I just strip the wires on the SAFC and strip the piece on the harness corresponding and just use electrical tape to hold them together?!? Thanks in advance.
You need the ground...and you putting electrical tape after stripping the wires from the harness isn't a good idea...learn to solder and then put the tape around....
Damn... What am I doing wrong. The SAFC won't power on at all, and I tried various diagrams. I also looked at the pinout on the ecu and the wires that I spliced are the correct ones.
Red - Main Relay
Black and brown - Ground (Brown is closest to ECU)
I am going to solder after everything is ok. Since I'm wiring this into a STD, I'm basically just trying to construct my own wiring diagram and want to make sure that everything is alright before I start melting stuff.
