Ground Control install
Ok, I've never installed a set of coilovers before so I have a question. I dont think anything is wrong here but when I put the coiloversd on my struts (kyb gr-2) the bottom perch dosentlook right. The instructions didnt say anything about trimming the strut anywhere only the bumpstop, which i'm not draggin *** so i'm fine there but could someone take a look at my pics and help me here, I dont want to put my $600 setup in my car then break it.

Everything looks right but DON'T FORGET TO PUT THE BUMPSTOPS ON! or you will be bottoming out alot and ur new struts will die within a month. Also the perch on the back is fine cause trust me u will NOT have the car that low, cause it will be more than almost a 3-4inch drop with the perches set all the way to the bottom. Also u will probably have to cut a piece off of ur bumpstops according to the instructions that came wit ur new Struts. Good luck with the install. Very easy install should take 2hrs or less with just basic hand tools and maybe a breaker bar.
Oh ya don't forget to use the o-rings in btw the sleeve and the strut so the sleeve is nice and tight, if not u will hear alot of rattling.

Seems like the Ground Control Coil-Overs are just the way they should be. The only thing is that your spring perch is to low. Set them a bit higher or you be scrapping the floor. If you have any other questions let me know I have installed those same coilovers numerous times..
If your new shocks didnt come with bumpstops then use your old ones and cut them in half right in the groove. If you want your rear to go lower past the metal cup, cut it with a saw or something, I doubt you'll need to though. That looks totally fine though, looks just like mine did
When I did mine I put a little preload into the spring. I just turned the perch up so the spring was pretty snut against the top mount. That way it wont be really low when you start out.
Its pretty easy. Just take your time, make sure all hte parts are assembled before you bolt the mount to the strut. After doing regular springs and struts the GC was almost to easy.

If you can't get the sleeve to fit over the o-rings when they're on the shock then just use electrical tape. Use enough so that the sleeve is nice and sturdy on the shock. Thats what I had to do..
