Default is this good to follow on my engine break in?

start the motor, let it idle for 15 minutes. check for leaks and anything out of the ordinary during this period. do a proper bleeding of the coolant system. double check everything. when driving vary the rpms and avoid the highway. do not hit vtec until 250 miles and only occasionally, until 1000 miles. change the oil at 100 miles, 500 miles and 1000 miles. use valvoline 10w-30 conventional oil. at 2000 miles, start changing the oil with valvoline 10w-30 synthetic blend oil, change the oil filter, perform a valve adjustment and compression test.

is this good to follow? do you think it would be good to start using sythetic oil after 2000 or should i wait longer? thanks.
