golden eagle is screwing it up. PLEASE READ
i just put my ls/vtec in my car just not and went to prime the oil system and i looked at the botom of the car and tehre was a pile of oil. I look and the golden eagle adapter does seal with the oil filter. The adapter is snug to the block and the fillter was cranked on the whole way. There was still a gap and i was basically cranking dry.

well here it is and you can see that where the adapeter would be, the filter wont seal with it. did i get an old one? What is the problem?

How does this help the guy out ? The problem is because its a fram oil filter. Either the piece is machined wrong or the oil filter is defective. Try another oil filter to see if that fixes the problem.

I think the filter is your problem cause i tried to use a fram filter on my GE lsvtec conversion plate thingy and it wouldnt seal all the way so i took it off and used a mobil 1 filter and it seals fine.
You should use Honda Filters when ever possible. (i know the new ones are fram and not filtech like they used to be) They will seal, and have good anti drain back valve.
My recomendation would be to try another filter before you go start blaming GE. While infact it could be a manufacturing defect you might just try a new filter first.

O.K. I have reviewed this thread and have taken a proactive look into it. Here is my conclusion!!!
I have purchased every filter I can find that cross referrences the honda replacement. Fram, Purolator, Factory Honda, K&N and others. The only way a gap can form between the filter and the sandwhich plate or block is if the sandwhich plate was installed in the opposite direction. The o-ring in the sandwhich plate should face the block and the filter should have the o-ring contact the sandwhich plate on the side that does not have an o-ring. IF the sandwhich plate is installed incorrectly, there WILL be a gap that can cause oil leakage. Make sure the o-ring on the sandwhich plate faces the block, then tighten it down. Then install your filter ( regardless of brand ). If this unit is installed correctly, it will work without any problems. Let me know your finings by e-mailing me at vince@goldeneaglemfg.com Thanks.

i wasnt trying to blame you. It was not centered properly. The fitting slips into the piece with little margain, which is good. I wasnt the one to put this on my car. I was told it didnt fit. I figured it out though and it works great. Perfect for my setup
. Sorry.

You need to understand how powerefull a comment like that can affect a company . Not the best way to title a topic. If you were ever looking to get sponsored in the future and your new to be sponsor saw you jump on Ge like that, they might think twice on giving out a sponsorship to you.
Food for thought.

i know it sounds offensive, but i didnt mean to say it as the company. I meant it to be like the "golden eagle" is screwing up, meaning the adapter. I should have said it different. I was trying to say it wasnt working for me.
