Default God, help my stupidity....

...I took the head off of my motor toight, had it all in pieces and out it back together again. I go to torque spec the valve cover and I get to the last friggin nut and S|\|aP! snapped the stud clean off. It's a B18C and I'm tired and going to bed soon. Would like some help for tomorrow morning though. The stud is sticking about 1.5 threads out of the head and does anyone know where I can get another nut? (no joking on that) :D

I appreciate all of your help.

I really hate when that happens

its sticking out its simple
dont try the vise grip
do you have enough thread

place two nuts in and the bottom use it to take off
the top nut will hold it

try this guys

If you didn't snap it off where the flanged portion holds down the cam plate, then you can just use a 10mm socket to remove the stud, and a 10mm deep socket to put a new one back in.

it was an outter valve cover stud. One on the exhaust's left hand side where the water pump hose bracket is.
