Default Glass beading piston domes

Has anyone ever heard of glass beading their piston domes, I have been told that it may be advantageous but have not be given any explanation as to why this may be. Please let me know if you have any information on the subject.

Thanks, Mike.

I always polish the piston tops, to minimize carbon formation. Several piston top coatings are available, but I've yet to see proof of any improvements made...
