Get used rotors turned or not?

Hey
My buddy is parting out a 2000 Si. My brakes went bad after a good autocross session (front rotors are cracked all over). I bought the front rotors off my buddy.
They have some rust on them, much like any other rotor that sits for a month.
Should I get them turned, or bolt them straight on??

Aiight.
Aiight.
if the rotors are cracked ...you dont want to use them
turning the rotors wont make a difference the damage is deeper than you can see
same thing applies to hotspots

The ones I have now are cracked. The new ones look good.

Definitely get them turned, and I would replace the brake pads while you were at it. If you use your old pads on a set of freshly turned rotors the old pads will score the new rotors and cause the rotors to overheat faster. I have seen a lot of people do this when I was a manager for Auto Zone and they always were back in the store a few weeks later buying NEW rotors AND a new set of pads.

this is the stupidest thing i have ever heard .... how is the torque specs going to warp the rotors .. please provide proof from a reliable source before posting nonsence like this .... remember the rotors back is on the hub and the front is on the rim how is the torque going to do anything ???
