OK, Suppose you had any and all trannies out there to fit a "B" series. What would you say is the perfect gearing for a tranny, if you were to take a gear from this tranny and one from that tranny so on and so forth. So what tranny with what gears would be the best setup???

depends on your cars application, autoX, drag, rally, etc...

 

OK, how about the occasional SCCA auot-x, occasional drag race, but also a good street setup.

 

For the most part, that's three mutually exclusive things in terms of optimal gearing. Just go with the most evenly spaced out 1-4 possible, with a 1st that'll have you redlining at no higher than 35-40 mph.

Besides, there is very little difference in factory B series gear ratios. The Y21/S21 ratios with a Type R style 4.785 final are the best the factory has to offer.
