B16A2 head on B18 block...

B16A2 head on B18 block...

I was planning on getting a GSR swap but I was told that the B16A2 head would go on the B18 block, is that true? So if I can then I'll just buy a GSR short block and put the b16 head on that. Would that be a good combo? Thanks

it will work and some say that the b16 head is better but we will not get into all that.

you've discovered what is know as the LS/VTEC. A very common setup. you could also look into a CRVTEC which a B20 block with the VTEC head on it. really good for all motor.

You need to reread the original post, he is talking about a GSR shortblock. B16 head on a GSR is a VTEC/VTEC. And a B16 head is a good head, same casting as the ITR head, should work fine. Get a little P & P on the B16 head and you will really be happy.
