i purchased another gearbox for my 92 civic hatch (jdm)

with a orignal gearbox of s20 with a code of (A000)

and i want to put in a new gearbox s20 with the code of (B000)

whats the differance between these to gearboxs? are the splines the same

as im having trouble puting the (b000) onto my original engine

shouldnt the gearboxs line up the same?

 

they should line up the same.

sounds like you have a cx/dx/lx/vx trans and you're trying to install a ex/si trans.

 

yeah i just cant line the gearbox up it just wont go into the engine!!
