Default gasproblem

whats up all i have a problem with my brothers car its a 94 cavalier when he fills his gas tank the car runs fine after it gets below a half a tank then it sputters stalls runs like crap fill it up then boom she runs fine.. lemme know if anyone can help thanks. ya i know its not a honda post but help me out if ya can greatly appreciated

easy answer- its a chevy cavalier. tell him to get a honda. it could be a million things- those cars are crap

Thoses cars are bad about being super unrelyable. Mu guess is a bad gas cap. Is the car storing any codes? Let me guess it dies all the time? Take it back to the chevy dealer and ask for your money back.

Will it idle kind of OK, but not accelerate?
I'd replace the fuel filter.

That really is an easy one. The baffle in the gas tank has broken or come loose. If you drop the tank you will see that the fuel pump is sitting on top of the baffle and not on the bottom of the tank. The fix is to replace gas tank with used one or aftermarket one......3gdude ASE Master tech
