Gas Gauge went crazy...

I was on my way to school this morning, took off from a stop sign when my gas gauge went all the way down, then it came back up slowly, anyone have an idea what it can be?

Was in a hard take off, alot of the time when i take off hard the flat in the tank goes up and makes the gauge go crazy
