My gas Gauge has been acting up lately. The upper half is ok, but the lower half of the gauge has gone crazy. It goes up and down when i drive. some time to empty then back to the midway point of the gauge. it happen over and over. Any Suggestion?

 

well all i can say to that is possibly the sending unit resistor is malfuntioning....gm has that problem on a lot of their vehicles and what happens isthe corrosive nature of gas wears away the resistor on the board and the guage dosen't read properly any more
