Default Gas 5 months old?

sup,
I've been doing a full swap, turbo set up on my car etc...it has the same gas it had about 4-5 months ago. Is the gas still good/? its 93 octane. it will be used on a turbo car.....

Is this healthy or risky? Should i drain it and put new gas? Thanks

I heard that gas loses octane when it sits around for a long period of time. Of course I only heard this so I don't know. I guess it's better to be safe than sorry.

You mean the gas was sitting in the tank, and now you want to start it up after 5 months, correct? Well, they do make gas stabilizer--which helps keeps the gas fresh, as it goes stale after sitting for about a month. The thing is--you need to put the gas stabilizer in before you let the gas sit!! I would do this--stick a suction pump or something of the like through your filler--suck as much as that old gas out, and get rid of it. When my motor spun a bearing and I knew it would be sitting for a while--the first thing I did was suck out the gas and put it into another car I was driving at the time--so it didn't go to waste. Any gas that old--is not worth it on a new build.

take the tank off and drain in

try to search around for how some of the domestic guys clean out their gas tanks when they do restorations. just try to imitate their process

Gas has a shelf life of 6-12 months, typically. Is this a full tank of 93?
