Default Gains from removing power sterring

Anybody know what gains can be had from removing the power steering belt from the pump. Specificly on a b18c1. I have heard some people say as much as 5 hp. I have never seen dyno results to prove it. Anyone have any experience with this. I tried searching but did not come up with anything. Thanks.

Yeah...you can gain some strenght to your arms
since you'll be cranking that damn steering wheel after removal

if you gonna take it out, take the whole system out and loop the ps lines.
if you just take the belt out it will make moving the steering wheel a lot harder since you are pushing the fluid all through the sys.

Thanks for all the help so far guys. I am aware of the benifits of removing the entine pump in terms of weight savings and ease of steering. I am more intrested in hearing the power gains.

I took the belt off my 2l type-r engine and noticed gains immediately. It felt like I dropped a bunch of weight.
Later on I removed the pump and lines including all the fluid and it felt even better. It all probably weighed close to 30lbs.Steering is kinda a bitch with sticky Azenis but I found manual steering racks online for $130 new, which will complete the whole "p/s delete option".
I think you will definately notice a gain without the belt being on and an equal gain from removing all the weight that goes with it.

Like pyroproblem mentioned manual racks can be had for a fairly cheap price.

BUT while reading and learning about removing the power steering from my 93 si coupe, i found the passenger side mount on the manual rack(from a cx model) and the mount on the power rack(si\ex...) are located in different spots. So this would mean the whole subframe would have to be swapped for a cx subframe.

Just a heads up for people looking into this.

as well i removed my belt and noticed very minimal gains. if the punp and lines were all taken out i may notice something more dramatic. who knows.
