Default Complete SRS code list

Hi All!
Although I just signed up, I've been reading and getting information here for a long time. I just finished(hopefully) tracking down an SRS problem. None of the code lists I could find on here, and many other similar sites, listed my code, which was 21-2 (seat belt tensioner=recall fix-Yay!). After some searching, I came across the following list, which seems to be VERY complete. It starts with Acura codes, then moves on to Honda. Anyway, since I have gotten so much help from your fine sight over the years, I thought I'd return the favor.

Cheers, and happy driving!

I didn't see anything on your list that included 3-6? Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

I am reading my code wrong or the post? 100% positive its 3-6 repeating and I don't see one list that includes 3 long blinks and 6 short ones...Can you help me with reading it correctly? I am jumping the little blue connector (DTC)on my passenger side. 97 Honda accord.

ahhh, I realized that I was jumping the connector wrong and reading the check engine light rather than the srs light. So I did it again tonight after work and realized its code 1-2. I have replaced the air bag and attempted to jump the MES connector but after the next restart it comes back on. Can someone provide me a check list to assist me with locating the open circuit, fuse, wiring and things like that please? Much appreciated.

Very useful thread. I've had my SRS light on since I bought my car 4 years ago. Been meaning to check it but could never find a list of all the codes. Thanks a lot for this.

I need some HELP!! I have a 1995 Accord LX. The SRS light is on. I shorted the diagnostic connector and got code 1-0!! I get one long blink, the light goes off, then goes solid! I am assuming this is 1-0. I have not heard of this code. I thought that the clock spring may be bad but I put on ohm meter on all the connectors and there is continuity. I tried to erase the code. I got the two quick blinks after the erease procudure but the light stays on and I still get 1-0. Can anyone HELP!!!!

I have a 1996 Odyssey and the #9 hole in the OBDII connector appears to be empty?

Does "Drivers Side" in your code list refer to right-hand-drive (Japan/UK) or left-hand-drive (America)?

I am the owner of an Honda accord 95,using the information here and on other threads I have tried to clear my srs light with no success, ihave been able to clear it for a day at most, after using a scanner and the codes listed here I keep coming up with code 2:1 being open circuit in passengers air bag but the passenger air bag does not exist,i thought maybe because the car is right hand drive the passenger side may be the drivers side in my case but after disconnecting the the drivers air bag and receiving a separate code for that I have proven this not to be the case?after much testing and re-testing the passengers air bag is at fault but does not exist, any suggestions?PLEASE

'95 Accord EX F22B1/AT

When the OBD connector is jumped, D4 and ABS lights stay off, CEL stays on solid, and the SRS light just keeps blinking on-off. Counted up to 100+ without seeing a change in blink duration or any pauses. Turned to OFF and back to ON, same thing, counted up to about 120 and saw no change.

So what does a constant blinking of the SRS when the OBD two wire connector is jumped mean? SNAFU? FUBAR? Honda Engineers being cute?

AFAIK everything else is fine, no CEL, D4, ABS, or SRS lights come on while I'm driving.

Thanks.

Thanks for the codes very helpful... But I still have a 12-60 code on my 2011 Accord and was wondering what is the passenger air bag second module ??? Is it the curtain or the unit in the passenger seat...

So after much bashing of my head against the wall, i have found that my 08 civic sedan uses different codes than whats listed above.

Here is what i found by disconnecting one component at a time and checking the code:

1-1 Driver Airbag open circuit
1-2 Passenger Airbag open circuit
2-1 Driver side seat belt tensioner open circuit
2-2 Passenger side seat belt tensioner open circuit
2-7 Driver side seat buckle tensioner open circuit
2-8 Passenger side seat buckle tensioner open circuit
3-1 Driver seat side airbag open circuit
3-2 Passenger seat side airbag open circuit
3-3 Driver side curtain airbag open circuit
3-4 Passenger side curtain airbag open circuit (didnt actually check this one-just followed the pattern)
4-1 and 4-2 Yellow wire harness under interior fuse box open circuit (front impact sensors?)
4-3 Driver side impact sensor open circuit
4-4 Passenger side impact sensor open circuit
6-1 Driver seat buckle sensor open circuit
6-2 Passenger seat buckle sensor open circuit

Memory reset behaved oddly (would not give me the two blinks to confirm) with the following disconnected-

7-1 Large white wire harness under Driver seat open circuit (active headrest?)
8-1 and 8-5 Large white wire harness under Passenger seat Open Circuit (active headrest?)

Turns out my issue was a loose wire harness on the driver's curtain airbag. Hope this info can help someone else. From what i understand all the 8th gen civic sedans use the same SRS module, so same codes should apply.

Do you have to replace the airbag for a code 1-1 on a 1999 Honda Civic ? Is that the only option to correct this code? I saw on this site somewhere troubleshooting for this code pages 24-42. Is this something I can vew from this site or does anyone know what book or manual this is in.

Could always be wiring. Check all connections between airbag and SRS unit, clean with contact cleaner. If 1-1 is the driver side bag it could also be your cable reel- seen pics of ones that have mangled themselves to pieces.

This is all assuming the bag was never deployed/ tampered with of course

Honda dealership said to replace airbag for $1,100. (Our driver's airbag in a 1999 Honda Civic was never deployed, light comes on after many resettings, initial code 1-1) We replaced airbag with a used unit, light stayed off 4 days and returned so either the airbag was never bad or we bought one that was bad as well. We got the same code 1-1 with the replaced bag. Checked what we could of the clock spring and it seemed to be getting power. Many people have commented it's not your airbag. Anybody have any suggestions of what we should try next, put our original airbag bag in.
