Default fuel regulator & CAI

I'm buying an AEM cold air intake and was told I could see significant improvements by adding a new fuel reglator at the same time. I read I can expect a gain of 5-8hp with the CAI and 12-14hp with the CAI & fuel regulator. Does this sound right? If so it seems like a good idea. I'm guessing the new fule regulator will make my car harder on gas but will it be significant? Is the regulator something I could install myself? Thanks for any input.

a fuel pressure regualtor is one of the best bolt on parts you will not be dissapointed but it would help a lot if you get a fuel pressure gauge.

I don't see why that would help. Hondas run rich from the factory as it is.

Agreed, I did not get a regulator till I dropped in my TODA Spec Cs. I had all the bolt ons and stock injection system with V-AFC till then. There were still points that I leaned out the V-AFC before the FPR.
Go to a dyno with the intake and your mods. Have them do an A/F plot with your dyno runs, and see where you end up...
