Default Fuel rail dilemma!

When I got my engine it did not come with the proper fuel rail. I new it was the case, so I bought an STR fuel rail, on the website the tech page said I could use the stock pulsator bolt. So I did, it stripped the end connector of the STR rail. I found out from the STR tech guy that the rail is more than four years old. So the tech page did not apply. Great, so I made a deal and STR kindly enough sent me a new rail for cost. I had to do this since the old rail end bolts were not supported.

In the mean time I needed to drive my car, I made a custom fuel feed line and clamped it to the rail. My PSI is over 80! My a/f is never out of rich.

I'm about to replace the rail, but my question is, do you think since I made the custom fuel feed line is that the cause of the high PSI? This feed line is much larger in diameter than stock.

I have a FPR regulator as well, adjusting it did not help much at all.

I guess all I'm looking for is a little motivation that when I install the new rail and feed line the pressure should be normal. What ya think?

BTW, the place that sold me the rail is called TSR (Team Speed Racing) in Bellevue, WA. DO NOT PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM THEM!

Well, I installed everything.

Glad STR made a grove for the 10mm bolts.

As you can tell I'm being sarcastic.

My fuel PSI is still around 85, the regulator does not seem to be bringing down the pressure.

I'm running a chipped p28 ecu on a b16a.

Any suggests!?

Thanks.

If the supply line is too big, I don't think that will hurt. The FPR should be able to open up & return the fuel. But if the RETURN line is restricted, that would make the pressure high even if the FPR is wide open. Check out the return line for kinks or pinched spots or something like that.

The old one was blue, here is the picture, you can tell the difference from the logo, if it looks like the one in the picture, then it is more than four years old.

*Never mind, we-todd-it-racing is down at the moment*

I replace the fuel feed line and reset ecu, I guess I just need to mess with the FPR...
